Beef Bacon & Egg

Beef Bacon Egg Recipe Source: Tony's Cart Preparation Time: 5 minutesCook Time: 5 minutesServings: 1Breakfast sandwiches are ubiquitous, and it's rare to find one that's really bad. The combination of buttery eggs with bacon or sausage and perhaps cheese can't go wrong. Some of the best breakfast sandwiches you will eat anywhere are in New York, at a street cart called Tony's, which parks at Nassau and Wall starting about four am, Monday through Friday. The difference between Tony's sandwich and most others is that it's bigger and the bread is better than an ordinary hard roll. A hard roll can be relatively fluffy; but the nature of a New York-style long-roll sandwich depends on a tubular length of bread that has real muscle: less a matter of crust than of chew. That kind of character is needed to absorb all the juiciness of this luscious breakfast. Ingredients: 4 strips medium-thick beef baconbutter2 large eggs1 long roll (about 8-inches), cut lengthwise Directions: 1. Cook the beef bacon on a grill or in a skillet until it is not-quite crisp. You want strips that are still fairly flexible. 2. As the beef bacon cooks, crack the two eggs and fry them – sunny side up, over easy, or over hard as you prefer. The eggs should be cooked in plenty of butter, even if you are also using some of the grease from the beef bacon. It's the combo of bacon grease and butter that is this sandwich's flavor magic. 3. Use a spatula to lift the eggs from the cooking surface, scooping up as much melting butter as possible and lay them inside the roll. Similarly, lift the beef bacon off the cooking surface and, without draining the strips, lay it atop the eggs. 4. Cheese can be added to this sandwich simply by laying a slice or two (American cheese, please) on the bread before adding the eggs. The eggs' heat should be enough to soften and semi-melt the cheese.

Muffaletta

Muffaletta

Recipe Source: All-Star Sandwich Bar Preparation Time: 10 minutesCook Time: 0 minutesServings: 2The name "muffaletta" once referred only to the bread, a chewy round loaf turned out by Italian bakeries. New Orleans grocery stores that sold the bread got the fine idea to slice it horizontally and stuff it, and the muffuletta sandwich was born. It has become a signature dish of The Big Easy, but, like the po boy, has become known nationwide. It depends on good bread and cold cuts, but the soul of a muffaletta is its olive salad. This is the recipe used at the wonderful All-Star Sandwich Bar in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Ingredients:
Olive Salad1 cup rough-chopped green olives2 teaspoons chopped garlic1/4 cup finely diced celery1/4 cup finely diced carrot2 tablespoons dried oregano2 tablespoons red wine vinegar2 tablespoons lemon juice1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil1 teaspoon cracked black pepper. To make the sandwich1 large loaf of fresh Italian bread (circular loaf preferred)1/3 pound thinly sliced Genoa salami1/3 pound thinly sliced ham1/3 pound mortadella1/3 pound thinly sliced provolone cheese

Garlic Mozzarella Bread

Garlic Mozzarella Bread

Recipe Source: Dorset Inn Preparation Time: 10 minutesCook Time: 15 minutesServings: 4Chef Sissy Hicks of Vermont's Dorset Inn described this extra-luxurious garlic bread as "everybody's favorite." It's a good side dish for all sorts of meals or, with soup and a salad, a wonderful lunch
Ingredients:
1 sub roll or demi-loaf, 6-8 inches long2 1/4-inch thick slices mozzarella cheese, cut into quarters1/2 cup garlic butter (recipe follows)Garlic Butter:5 garlic cloves2 shallots5 sprigs parsley, stemmed1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon black pepper2 sticks unsalted butter softened(This makes 1 cup of garlic butter, enough for two 8-inch lengths of bread, or for one length, with leftover butter for pasta.)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Cut the bread into 1/2-inch slices, being careful not to cut all the way through the loaf.
Put a piece of cheese in each slit. Spread the garlic butter over the top of the loaf.
Bake on a baking sheet 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is nicely browned on top.
To make the garlic butter, mince the garlic, shallots and parsley in a food processor. Transfer this mixture to a stand mixer and add the salt, pepper, and butter. Using the paddle attachment, whip until the butter is soft.

Tostada Grande de Tucson

Recipe Source: El Charro Preparation Time: 5 minutesCook Time: 10 minutesServings: 4Also known as Mexican pizza or cheese crisp, the tostada grande is a staple of the Sonoran cooking so prevalent in Tucson. This recipe, from the venerable El Charro, is very basic and easy to eat without spillage; but it is common to add cebolitas (grilled green onions) on top. You might also consider salsa, grilled vegetables or shredded beef -- all of which make it pretty messy.
Ingredients:
1 18-inch flour tortilla16 ounces shredded longhorn cheese (or other mild cheddar)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Bake the tortilla 5 minutes directly on a rack in the oven.
Remove the tortilla and place it on a pizza pan or large cookie sheet.
Spread the cheese evenly on the tortilla and bake until it is completely melted, 4-5 minutes.
Serve while still warm.

The Age Beyond Nanotechnology

The age beyond nanotechnology is the age where manipulation of the very fabric of the quarks have come to a hault and can no longer go further due to the limitation of mankinds capability to go any further. The next frontier would be to go backwards as a mountain climber would reach the peak and start to descend gracefully after achieving one of his/her pinnacles in life. The discovery of discoveries that lay within the very fabrics of the quark are the answers to the meaning of life. Should mankind go beyond the manipulation of the quark than mankind will unravel one of lifes ancient mysteries on how God made us to be how God fashioned and shaped us .....which will lead to an ultimatum whether man shall obey or disobey...enticing the great evil in mankind to grow and surge being overzealous to his creator. Manipulation of the mighty tiny quark is the pinnacle of life where the highways of protons, electrons, atoms and whatever centrifuge in one great movement we call life.....to be continued
